There is nothing cuter than doggies and babies and this in-home newborn session has both! Baby Oliver is the sweetest little boy. He is such a good baby for his parents, sleeping soundly most of the time. He's a tiny little thing, tipping the scales at just over 7 lbs. Maybe that just seems tiny to me right now as my baby is currently waddling around in 24mo clothing! Oliver Gray made his debut just a few weeks before Christmas, making the most special gift for the whole family!
New beginnings are often bittersweet. As I am writing, I'm feeling so many different emotions. My husband recently accepted a new role at his company and we will be moving to Orlando, FL. We are sad to leave Buffalo, but excited about this next chapter. We will be moving in January!
Thank you for all of your support over these last few years. I cherish every friendship, and have loved watching all of your families grow. I plan to travel back to Buffalo for the weddings I have booked in 2018. We are also planning to spend summers in Buffalo. Once I have those dates, I will post them if anyone is interested in a summer photo session! I keep telling myself we will be like snowbirds, basically only missing winter!!
We are lucky to be moving to a place that we are familiar with. We lived in Orlando 5 years ago, before moving to Buffalo. We will be returning to the neighborhood where we used to live and are excited to be closer to my family in Florida and all of our Florida friends. Tommy is worried about missing his friends and meeting new ones which breaks my heart, but he's an outgoing kid so I think he will do just fine. Joey is excited about the move because he wants to go swimming, so there's that. Tess is along for the ride, and it will be a long plane ride with her. We are pretty pumped to be able to come back to Buffalo for summers, because it's definitely one of the coolest places to live, especially during the summer! Most people will never understand that until they live here, but after five years, I've grown very attached to this place and our neighborhood. Even as I look out my window and see 18" of snow on the ground, I love it here. The people in Buffalo are just the best! Hopefully, we will have lots of winter friends trying to escape the cold and snow that will want to come and visit!!
On another note, I got the film back from our last trip to Florida. I shot a roll of the three of them playing, wrestling, laughing...just a day in the life. That little Peanut is not one to be left out, so she's always right there in the thick of it.
Since film is light hungry, it seems sunny Florida will be a good place to continue learning this medium!
So much love for this sweet baby girl! Lace is such a pretty little baby with bright, blue eyes, long blonde lashes and the fairest skin. She has a beautiful, floral nursery with hand made accents created by her mama. It's easy to see that Lindsey and Rob are already so in love with their beautiful baby girl! Baby Lace is a growing girl...she was eating every hour during the day and every 2-3 hours at night. Ahh, I remember those days! Even with little to no sleep, mom and dad are so happy!!
Current obsession...baby nurseries. I love them all. You can just feel all of the love and thought that went into planning for this sweet new soul that will one day inhabit the room. This navy and blue themed nursery had the most adorable DIY touches such as mason jar book ends and framed sheets of music because Dad is a musician. So cute!! Don't let him fool you...This normally very sleepy boy did not want to go to sleep! Ben was showing off those big, beautiful eyes the entire time. Poor baby was so tired at the end of his photo session, he didn't know what to do with himself. I bet he zonked out in his Rock n Play the minute I left! Peggy and Matt are just glowing with joy over their new baby. He is such a happy boy, as long as he can chew on his tiny, little hands!!!
This year's group family photo session. 91 degrees, 100% humidity. The hottest day of the year, but the only day we could do it. It was so incredibly hot, we lasted less than 5 minutes. Everyone was completely soaked with sweat and beyond thrilled to be at the beach in their nice clothes. The older kids were mad they couldn't go in the water because it was closed due to harmful bacteria. Ewww! The babies decided to hate sand on this particular day and Tess screamed most of the time. (This is becoming a trend.) We took some really great photos on film, but I realized later that I had never loaded the film in the camera. So, life happens. This is our crazy life right now.
On a side note, doesn't Mary look amazing!!! I can't believe baby #3 is due in January!!
The happiest baby on the block! She really is...we live across the street and Adeline is always smiling and laughing! With her toothy grin and her little pixie hair, how can you not smile with her?! And after this session, Tess is not invited to any future sessions. We had the happiest baby and the crabbiest baby in the same house. Enjoy the many adorable faces of this angelic little one in her beautiful nursery!
Just wanting to remember this season in our lives. I love the kids ages right now. They are all young enough to still want to hang out with us and independent enough to play on their own. Sort of. There is a lot of fighting, arguing, and crying, but watching them all together is everything.
And I wish it would stay summer in Buffalo forever!
Baby Reid has arrived to join his big brother and sister! They were beyond excited to welcome their newest sibling. Let the craziness of zone coverage begin! This tiniest addition is the sweetest little boy with beautiful blue eyes and chubby little cheeks. So far, Reid is happiest swaddled up and sleeping while Luke and Addison play around him. Win for mom and dad! Congratulations to the Boyle's! You have such a lovely family!!
My sister-in-law and her beautiful family have been visiting from Houston. All of the cousins have been hanging out and having tons of summer fun. The kids have all celebrated birthdays, gone swimming, had sleepovers and went to the movies. We sure are going to miss these guys!
I'm currently loving newborn lifestyle photography and this is definitely one of my favorite sessions. Baby Hadley is a doll and was just 8 days in these photographs. She's usually the sleepiest little baby but she decided to wake up for us at the end of her photo session and show off her beautiful blue eyes! I love her downy blond hair and her fair little lashes! Sometimes, Hadley will pucker her lips and make a kissy face when someone gives her a smooch so Hunter tried and tried to make her do the kissy face for him. He tried in his nice clothes, stripped down to his undies, and then dressed up as Captain America, planting kisses on his new sister each time. It was really cute! By the end of our time together, the superhero in training was telling us, "I just love my baby sister." Haha! It took him a few minutes to warm up, but he got there!! Every superhero needs a sidekick!!
