My first wedding shoot! Jeanne and company started their day at the amazing Hotel Lafayette, she is probably the most laid back bride ever so the whole day was really fun! I met the guys at the Unitarian Church on Elmwood before the ceremony. I was forewarned their were 10 groomsmen so I brought backup.. Thank you Mary O'Sullivan for all of your help!!! The ceremony was so sweet and I loved that they wrote their own vows. Jeanne's father and her son, Jack walked her down the aisle. One of my favorite moments was when Michael vowed to always brush Jeanne's hair...lol! I also loved when Jack played a guitar solo for the new Mr. & Mrs. He learned to play one of his mom's favorite songs for the occasion. Jack did amazing and I think everyone in the room was touched by the sentiment. He knew he nailed it too! Jeanne, Michael and all of their family and friends were so nice and so much fun to be around! Thank you for trusting me to capture all of your special moments on the big day. I wish you all the happiness in the world!
I love this Photobomb!!
I have to say, I felt really old after I left this pre-prom adventure! There were 20 high school couples getting on a party bus from one of the student's homes. All the kids were spending the night in tents in the backyard. Looked like they were going to have a pretty fun night! About 20 couples means 40 students, plus all their parents, siblings, grandparents, etc. all in the yard to see their prom-goers off... It was madness! I felt like a paparazzi trying to take pics of our cousin and his date, squatting and ducking between the sea of family members all doing the same thing! Conor and Paige looked amazing, so grown up! I loved checking out all the girls' dresses and seeing everyone's budding personalities coming out through their style :) And I was totally shocked when the girls started putting on their garters, that is a tradition we did not have in Florida (at least not when I went to prom about 15yrs ago...Like I said, feeling OLD!!)
At least it was for about a week - coats are back out today :( On the brighter side, I guess I didn't kill the gorgeous flowers the first owner of this home planted. They came back this year! They may freeze and die tonight...

It's so great to have our friends (that had also lived in Florida while we lived down there) back up here in Buffalo again
and be able to watch our kids grow up together! We all definitely appreciate seeing this winter come to an end :)
It was too nice of a day to be indoors!

I've been trying to have a beach photo shoot with my oldest little guy since he was born. Three years later...we finally did it! It was more of me chasing him down the beach during our vacation, but I guess that allows you to see his personality. He is a charismatic boy - no longer a baby! :( - who is extremely headstrong, stubborn, but also really cuddly and loveable! Tommy doesn't walk anywhere, he has one speed - running! He better play some sort of contact sport because his favorite thing to do is tackle and run into things at full speed, like the floor, walls or people! He does love the water and beach (as in drinking the water and eating sand) and he thought the idea of me running full speed after him was pretty funny. He humored me with my camera long enough to snap a couple shots and then he started trying to ram his toy airplane into my lens. Game over!
My coral colored shirt is reflecting in his eyes!
