Stephanie and Jon are the nicest couple and the perfect compliment to each other. Stephanie put her whole heart and soul into the planning of this dream wedding. Every detail was meticulously brought to life to create the simple, soft, and romantic feel she wanted to achieve. The pale pink and pastel grays of her Morilee bridesmaid dresses were wonderfully complimented by the huge bouquets of ivory peonies, light pink roses and succulents by Maureen's Wholesale Flower Market that had all of us girls swooning. Stephanie's Cathedral length veil and lace and crystal detailed bridal gown from Bridal Chateau were stunning. All of the light pastel colors and delicate lace details combined with the wind we had that day, added a whimsical feel to the truly elegant event. Stephanie also brought in a touch of sparkle with her shimmery Lauren Lorraine wedding shoes to go with the brilliant diamond and platinum wedding bands that were created by local jeweler, Ben Garlick. The bride's 'something blue' a was a vintage sapphire and diamond ring from her mother and she also carried a dainty white handkerchief, passed along from her grandmother. We just loved all of these gorgeous details!!
It was Stephanie and Jon's goal to make this a fun weekend that their family and friends from near and far would never forget. The bridal party got ready at the Embassy Suites downtown, their suite even had a view of the spire from St. Louis Catholic church, where the couple would be wed. The boys were at the historic Lenox Hotel, conveniently located across the street from the beautiful Jacobs Executive Development Center. While the boys hung out and threw the football around, the girls were busy getting beautified with hair and makeup done by Kalu Salon and Spa. Stephanie and Jon had a traditional Catholic wedding at St. Louis Church and the party really started once the wedding guests began to arrive at the Niagara Falls Country Club in Lewiston. NFCC is a gorgeous venue that is near and dear to the hearts of Stephanie and her twin sister (and maid of honor), Nicole. They both worked there for about 4 years! The country club is on a beautiful hillside and features expansive views from the window lined interior and open patio. Stephanie and Jon were so excited for all of their guests to mingle, dance and enjoy the spectacular views from the club. After some emotional and humorous speeches, it was time for dinner and the elegantly simple cake from Sweet Beginnings bakery. Of course, Mary and I (the pregnant duo), took some wedding cake home and it was delish! DJ MJ from Phenomenon got the music going for some lovely first dances and just like that, the whole wedding was on the dance floor. Everyone seemed to take a break just long enough to catch the breathtaking sunset. This was also the perfect opportunity for the couple's closest family and friends to gather together in remembrance of three family members that attended this occasion in spirit. Stephanie and Jon had gotten three Chinese lanterns in red, white and blue to send off into the night in memory of these very special people that will never be forgotten. It was a beautiful sight, watching everyone work together to light the lanterns and release them, one at a time, until all three gently floated together into the darkness. We quietly watched in awe while the close-knit group huddled together and hugged and cheered at their release. It was a tribute that meant so much to so many that night. Congratulations to Stephanie and Jon! Mary and I were so honored to photograph your wedding and to be a part of your beautiful day!
