So beautiful inside and out. I just love her natural, bohemian style!
The light, the look...one of my favorite sessions to date!!! Meet Kelsey! She is my first Senior Rep...Ever! This girl is amazing. She is literally good at everything. She's a musician, athlete and dancer. Kelsey is super confident and just plain fun to be around. Kelsey really enjoys playing the violin, and I loved when she busted out a song during our session. She probably thought I was crazy because I just kept letting her go on, and on...and on. It was so good, and the music against the backdrop of the lake, was magical! Kelsey also plays lacrosse and does dance. She was up for anything so we headed into a beautiful field of flowers. It was also mosquito infested and there may have been a skunk lingering nearby but, we were adventurous and I think it paid off. I love these photos in the field! We were lucky to avoid the rain that was forecasted and we ended up with a beautiful sunset over the lake to end the evening!
These photos are a Mother's Day gift for Judy, so I hope these are wall worthy! Grandma was spending some quality time with Krys and Sara's brand new baby girl while they were in town for a visit. Baby Adeline was just one month old and already on her first road trip and beach vacation. Angola is beautiful, the streets are so quaint with all of those cute cottages! It was an unusually cloudy evening when we strolled over to a nearby beach access. It was appropriate that we ended up at the beach with the American Flag on the horizon, as Krys is in the military! Everyone was lovin' on sweet baby Adie, taking turns holding her, walking with her and making her smile. I adore the photo where all 3 adults are trying to feed and soothe baby Adie. With a newborn, there are some times that require "all hands on deck." It's so amazing to watch everyone ready to jump in to meet the needs of the tiny, new member of the family. There's nothing like a fresh little one to put a smile on everyone's face!
I love how these turned out! Styled by Kelley Comerford, The Ghost Host. This was totally Kelley's vision for pictures in preparation for Natty's tea party themed 2nd birthday party. Natalie had quite the set up, including a real tea pot, tea cups, saucers, and of course, plush 'friends' to attend the tea party. Umm...adorable! Love, love, love!! Our little model was all curls and ringlets floating about the rose garden. I just adore her spirited little personality and some of those sassy looks she was giving us. Natty enjoyed playing with the rocks on the ground - I mean tea pot pieces - and served her 'friends' a quick round of tea. Then, she humored us for a little mommy and me maternity photo before hitting the playground that we conveniently parked right next to. Can't believe she's turning 2! Happy Birthday Natty!!This is little guy is a true baby model...literally. Gavin is famous! He's on the box for a Fisher-Price bouncy play chair! He put on his best little model face and worked it for us despite a wet and cool 50 degree summer morning filled with bugs. Everything about this session had meaning. Gavin loves turtles and he has turtles at home, hence the adorable turtle overalls. The following day was his monster themed birthday party, so it was only appropriate to have a monster cake and t-shirt for his 1st birthday photos. Gavin was hesitant to go after his bright, blue monster cake. He was careful and strategic about where he wanted to touch it. With a little help from mom, he had his first taste of icing. After examining the blue stuff on his hands like a detective, he pulled up a handful of grass and decided he'd rather eat that. Kids are so funny! He went on to rub the icing through his hair and all over his face. It looked like war paint, or he was preparing for a role in The Patriot. His entire face was blue. All we could see were his bright blue eyes peeking out! A bath was needed, but with the Fall day we were having in June, the water was too cold for Gavin to enjoy the bubbles. So, he went home looking like a happy little smurf! Happy 1st Birthday, Gavin, you sweet little monster!!
I love this little bubba's round, bald head and those chunky little cheekies. Don't you just want to squeeze him?! The subtle blue plaid on Christian's shirt really brought out his amazing sparkly blue eyes and made them pop. He's such a beautiful baby boy. This mellow little man was up way past his bedtime as we were catching the last few minutes of sunlight on a rare, but gorgeous day this summer. He really decided to turn it on for us at the end of the session when we stripped him down to his white tank and laid him in the grass to capture his reaction to the first time experiencing grass. It could have gone either way, but we had success! He loved the texture of the grass. Mom and Dad watched and laughed as he dug in with his chubby little finger and kicked around with his cute baby feet. Christian made sure he got the full effect of summertime with a few handfuls of the green stuff in the mouth...He was all smiles and giggles playing in that grass!
June's theme was action and capturing movement. Attempt at panning...it's hard! The little one...ran right from the tub to shoot some hoops
